This is my first post to this LUG so Hello all! Here is a little bio:

My name is Paul Allen (Unfortunatly, not _That_ Paul Allen) and I'm a
recent grad from the University of Iowas Computer Science department. I'm
currently employed at the UI Hospitals & Clinics as a System Administrator
working on makeing the transition to application developer.
I have been playing with linux since 1998, and while not a guru, I'm very
comfortable in using it and have some background in linux systems (My
Operating Systems class covered unix based systems and we used linux to test
on.). I discovered the QCLUG while looking for Iowa LUGs and found it to
be the closest.
Now to the question, From the way it sounds, it might be a problem with
mono. Currently MS .net is at 3.5 while Mono is usually a version behind,
so it currently only impliments 2.0 fully. I may be wrong in this...
Looking at http://www.mono-project.com, it can support up to 3.0 as of the
2.4 release and it says as of 2.6 it should support a lot of the upcoming
.net 4.0 changes.
There were some major changes from .net 3.0 to 3.5 so it still may be the
cause of the problem. The developer should be able to work around them
though.
While I don't know if this will answer your question, I hope you find it
informational. If anyone is more up to date on it, please let me know if
I'm correct in this thinking.

Thank you,

Paul Allen
