[QCLUG] mediacom problems

Here in Le Claire I'm on 12X.X.X.X and have a download speed of 7618 
kbps and up of 485 kbps to Chicago.  To San Diego, CA is a little slower 
at 7588 / 325 kbps.  I had a problem just like this a few months back.  
I'm using Media Com.  Their tech support wasn't able to help and it was 
going to take 2 or 3 weeks to get a tech person here so I went down and 
exchanged my modem.  That solved the problem and I haven't had a problem 
since.  They told me that one type of the modems they supply have a 
problem.  I now have a RCA modem from them.
