[QCLUG] forum? and mediacom speed tests

is it just me or is this email bulletin board just about the worst to keep
in contact? i mean why dont we upgrade to a forum or the like? yeah we get
the posts but do we need to get every message? to this i said no and opted
for the archive. either way you slice it you still have to read through the
messages to get the good bits while skipping the formatted and non formatted
version as well as the replied to message that is now in the archive for the
4th time. haha the little black putty windows as work is about as nestalgic
as i wanna get :)

i too have seen crappy mediacom service. i was living in silvis up until the
5th of december but things havent gotten any better in rock island by
memorial park. i was actually getting disconnects yesterday and netflix on
the 360 is completely useless at say 5pm or 7pm. i have been doing speed
tests on and off since december and generally get 3M down but it spikes so
much that figure really doesnt mean anything. i too have been told from
coworkers that a new modem would help but id hate to drop a 100 bucks and
then decide to switch because it didnt help matters (currently have the
original white surfboard).
