[QCLUG] forum? and mediacom speed tests

Personally, I feel that the mailing list is one of the best ways to keep in
touch for a group like this... As far as I am aware, most LUGs use them, as
well as most OSS groups as well. Forums can be a nightmare to administer and
moderate.
I like getting every email, I know I do not respond often, as I'm kept pretty
busy these days, but I do read them when time permits. Time being a major
factor, I don't want to dig through web pages to see what the group is up
to..
All servers have to go down occasionally, and with a forum, noone can read
anything, at least with the mailing list, you have those emails, and can read
them... in case your working off an answer or some such... (obviously
assuming you are using a local email client) and you can even send new
questions out, your smtp relay should cache the email and send it to the
server once it's back up (normally this should be at least 4 days, and I
don't think I've had the qclug down anywhere near that amount of time since I
moved it from solo...even there I can't recall a downtime of the LUG server
of that peroid..)
