[QCLUG] Tonights Meeting - Technology Demo

I was an attendee, so I can share some notes:
1) David Hinkle was the presentor @ CIPAFilter
2) he showed us the Ubiquity Bullet
http://www.ubnt.com/products/bullet.phpand the excersie was
downloading the firmware/kernel from the Ubiquity
website, setting up the toolchain and gcc complier to complle a newer
version of the firmware source, and upload/update the Ubiquity Bullet with
the compiled source.
3) There was some discussion on GPL software licenses
4) There was some discussion of using Subversion or svn as a source code
repository: http://subversion.tigris.org/
5) David also talked about DerbyNet - a wireless network they have setup
6) there was a show and tell of some other CIPA Filter and DerbyNet hardwar=
e
including custom built routers, some more Ubiquity Powerstations,
Directional Antennas, PPoE power injectors, some motherboards with CF Card
Storage and others.
