In the past I've used Sipura adapters, which cost about $40, you plug =
any cheap analog phone into them, and they are ethernet and work with =
asterisk. Sipura has since been bought by cisco and is being sold =
under the Linksys brand.=20

Take a look at:

I haven't used this model, but it should give you 2 lines for about $50. =
Team this up with 2 cheap analog phone handsets (High quality analog =
phone handsets can be had very cheap, and have great loud sound quality) =
and a asterisk server running on Linux and you have a dirt cheap, highly =
expandable and customizable phone system.

Give the asterisk server a public IP and all you have to do is take =
these units anywhere that has internet to set up your call center. You =
can use asterisk with a SIP trunking provider and you won't pay for a =
single phone line.

You can also go directly to a sip provider and cut asterisk out if you =
don't want any of the logging or call routing technologies it can =
provide.

Just make sure you buy 1 unit of whatever you want and test it =
extensively with the service you plan to use before you commit. Last =
time I experimented with these technologies they were plagued with =
incompatibilities.

Hello LUG,I was just looking for any personal recomendations, or tips in =
the
world of usb sip phones. I'm looking to get a dozen $40 or less usb
handsets. My goal is to create a portable multi phone station that a non
profit that I work with can use for it's volunteers.

Thanks,
Arron
