Wow, go go misinformation.  Conficker doesn't do any of that.  In
fact, it doesn't do much of anything right now short of infecting
other computers.  Tomorrow (April 1st), it is set to update itself
from an internet site, not infect more new people.  We have already
passed 3 of these "upgrade" dates and nothing big happened.

So lets review:
We have already had 3-4 other "April 1st's" already, and we are still here
The worm DOES NOT HAVE A PAYLOAD (no code other than infecting other
computers). Although an upgrade could change that
    This means no stealing bank accounts or sending spam yet.
Most major AV's will detect it if it is up to date.  Malwarebytes,
Norton, McAfee, AVG, Clamwin, Kapersky, and Avast, to name a few.
