e presentor @ CIPAFilter<br>2) he showed us the Ubiquity Bullet <a href="=

t.php</a> and the excersie was downloading the firmware/kernel from the Ubi=
quity website, setting up the toolchain and gcc complier to complle a newer=
version of the firmware source, and upload/update the Ubiquity Bullet with=
the compiled source.<br>
3) There was some discussion on GPL software licenses<br>4) There was some =
discussion of using Subversion or svn as a source code repository: <a href=

David also talked about DerbyNet - a wireless network they have setup <br>
6) there was a show and tell of some other CIPA Filter and DerbyNet hardwar=
e including custom built routers, some more Ubiquity Powerstations, Directi=
onal Antennas, PPoE power injectors, some motherboards with CF Card Storage=
and others.<br>

<font size="2">I'm really glad the lug has been finding it's way =
to CIPAFilter every other month or so. The last time we met I just wa=
nted to take the time to chat with people but this time, and in the future,=
I'd like to do technology demo's of some of the equipment and tech=
niques we're using.<br>

For tonight's meeting at CIPAFilter I'm going to be bringing ubiqui=
ty bullet for show and tell. This nifty $39 linux hardware platform c=
ontains an integrated wireless card, antenna connector and ethernet. My =
boss would like me to modify the firmware and get tcpdump running. I&=
#39;ll do this work tonight at the meeting so those who are interested can =
see how this sort of thing gets done. I'll compare on contrast th=
e ubiquity firmware management method with what we use at CIPAFilter and sh=
ow you how to build solid state linux installs.<br>
