Just the other day I was talking to someone who had "always wanted to =
try Linux, but it won't run on Vista." There definitely needs to b=
e more education on how computers work, the role of the operating system, a=
nd what exactly Linux is. People might be ready to abandon MS, but I don=
9;t think they know how (other than buying Apple products ... but I won'=

how .... this is expensive and forced them to retool a service pack ... win=

changes that people actually refused to want to relearn<br>
ms biggest competiter is themselvs (older versions of there software) <br><=
br>maybe this is so they can give away more windows xp copies on netbooks t=
o hinder linux adoption (surprising there discounting sprees have not raise=

d will this be taking ms main line of income.<br>linux seems to taking the =
whole eco system of everything except the pc at the moment by storm from co=
nsumer level devices to cell phones ( it would be nice if all these devices=
had to have some type of advertising attached to it like "linux insid=
e" so people start associating linux with different things. websites t=
hat run on linux should do the same. the things linux is on and not anyone =
knows should be clearly marked. ( hey even <a href="http://google.c=
om" target="_blank">google.com</a> shoud have "RUNS ON LINUX" p=
osted somewhere on there clean main page) I bring these up cause most peopl=
e have some type of linux device and will never know ...<br>
<br>Ive noticed alot of trends of people mentioning a swith over to linux a=
nd MS offering big discounts. ( yes they have tons of money but it cant do =
