<P><FONT SIZE=2>I enjoy meeting with the lug, I think it would be =
great if the lug rotated between CIPAFilter and the college. =
It's good to be at the college to bring in new blood and it's good to be =
at CIPAFilter to teach people about open source businesses. It =
should be pretty easy for everybody to understand if the LUG switches =
back and fourth between two locals, and if the college or CIPAFilter =
isn't available on a particular month for whatever reason the =
alternative location can be selected.<BR>

I have really enjoyed the meetings we have had at CIPA Filter. =

East Moline may be a little far for some of us, the meeting room is<BR>
nice, and CIPA really fits with the ideals of the LUG. CIPA has =

an entire business (actually, 2 businesses) around a custom-built<BR>
Linux distro. I feel the meetings we have had there have been<BR>
productive, and it would make an excellent spot in the future. =
While<BR>
making it the permanent home would probably be overstaying our<BR>
welcome, I think they may be more open to a longer term hosting if =
the<BR>
commitment were something like every other month or every third =
month.<BR>

While parking at Augustana isn't ideal, I do like the fact that we =
got<BR>
fresh faces in. Hosting at Augie (or potentially any other =
local<BR>
college) gives us an excellent way to reach out to students and let<BR>
them experience Linux. From my understanding, the LUG was well<BR>
received at the St. Ambrose technology fairs. While I know =
colleges<BR>
tend to be resistant to outside groups hosting regular meetings,<BR>
perhaps we could speak with someone from the Comp Sci department. =
If<BR>
we push to get the faculty and students involved, perhaps they would<BR>
be more open to it. The big downside to any college, however, is =
they<BR>
are pretty much closed down over breaks and holidays. =
Augustana<BR>
students have finals this week, then start their summer break.<BR>

Unfortunately, I was unable to attend this month's meeting at the<BR>
Bettendorf library, so I can't really provide any opinion on it.<BR>
